Tenant Services

The realisation that tenancies are at risk of failing if tenants with complex needs are not supported properly prompted the establishment of the Tenant Support Service.

The service provides a wide range of flexible support with the aim of sustaining individual tenancies. Support is available to every tenant of Reside and can be specific according to their needs.

The department is headed by a Tenant Support Manager who is ably assisted by an experienced staff team.

Reside recognise that tenants in supported living require a much greater level of support than that available to tenants in the general rental sector.

The following support that is invariably complex and often not available from other agencies is typical but not an exhaustive list of items of support:

  • Budgeting and financial support
  • Benefits applications
  • Assistance with property maintenance i.e. cleaning, gardening, window cleaning
  • Payment of utility charges, council tax, TV licence
  • Resolution of neighbour disputes
  • Tenant participation within Reside
  • Assistance with choice of furniture and decoration
  • Advocacy
  • Regular tenant meetings
  • Health and safety matters
  • Adaptations
  • Security
  • Choosing fellow tenants
  • Choosing a care provider
  • Support with shopping
  • Participation of matters concerning POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults)
  • Support with moving on
  • Assistance with social activities
