Supported Living
Reside believes supported living is about people with disabilities having choice and control over their own lives by living in their own home. Reside tenants are treated as individuals with security of tenure and have the same rights and responsibilities as everyone else within society.
Tenants are invited to choose their own accommodation and care provider. Reside provides direct housing related support, determined by assessing the needs and abilities of each tenant.
Reside’s overall aim is to provide a homely environment with the right level of support and facilities to allow tenants to live as independently as possible. The focus is on the tenant’s involvement in running their own home, building social relationships and being part of the community. We work in partnership with accredited care providers, who share the same values and vision as ourselves, which we believe puts us at the forefront of supported living.
Increasingly many tenants have individualised budgets or direct payments often administrated through a brokerage. Reside has a full understanding of these alternative funding streams and the particular contractual arrangements.
Unless otherwise agreed all our accommodation is fully furnished and ready for immediate occupation. We encourage tenants to choose their own décor and whenever possible choice of furnishings.
