It’s with great pleasure that we can share the news that the Regulator for Social Housing (RSH) has awarded us with an upgraded governance rating in a regulatory judgement. We received an overall governance and financial viability rating of G1, V2 following a rigorous assessment by the RSH.
G1 is the top governance rating, and recognises that we have embedded good systems of governance to ensure that our strategic objectives of providing high quality, person-centred housing through a well-managed organisation are met.
We were assessed by the RSH for the first time in 2018 and received a compliant rating of G2, V2. We achieved the upgraded rating this year by streamlining our systems of reporting key performance areas to our Board.
Diane French, our CEO, says: “As a small provider, we were pleased to receive a compliant rating from the regulator following our first assessment two years ago. We have since worked very hard to make the improvements in our action plan and are thrilled with the new top-tier rating. I’d like to thank everyone at Reside for their dedication and commitment to achieving this fantastic result.”
James Sinclair Taylor, Chair of the Board at Reside, adds: “I am delighted to see the hard work of the team and Board being recognised. As a small and specialist organisation working to house those with learning disabilities, we are pleased that our governance systems have stood up against the standards written with much larger organisations in mind.”
