Historic Arrowe Hall

Latest news

Our Supported Living Housing Manager Kulli Paddan visited Arrowe Hall, one of our schemes in Merseyside, along with Bex Weldon (Income Collection Officer) and Tracy Bevan (Supported Living Housing Officer)

It was a successful visit with Kulli, Bex and Tracy meeting with the support staff on site from Achieving Together to talk about promoting our landlord services to the tenants. They carried out a general inspection and also had an opportunity to chat with some of the tenants.

“The building is lovely!” said Kulli. It’s a historic site built in 1835 with surrounding landscaped parkland. The tenants live in self-contained flats and have a range of support needs.

One of our Arrowe Hall tenants is Simon who has acquired brain injury and epilepsy. He is very passionate about the history, and he has been researching it for many years.

“I’ve been studying the history of the house for a long time, using archives and documents. I feel quite proud that I’ve found out a lot of useful historical information. There have been many architectural changes and the surrounding parkland is beautiful.”

Simon leads a very independent life. He has some help with household chores like cooking and cleaning from his support worker but he pays his own bills. After living in a number of different homes, Simon’s current home is his favourite: “It’s one of the best places I’ve lived.”  Simon (pictured below) has a number of hobbies and interests, such as art and Lego. “I like mosaicking and recently I’ve got into gardening, too.”
