Raymond had been found temporary accommodation in a budget hotel by social services but it was next to a service station and had no amenities nearby so he was extremely isolated and did not receive any visitors. We were able to offer him a place in one of our developments at the start of 2019 and he has become the life and soul of the social scene there. In just his first month as a Reside tenant, Raymond chaired a residents’ meeting and came up with lots of great ideas to bring residents together including a quiz night, bingo evening, sports day, discos and trips out together. He is looking at starting a house newspaper and suggested introducing a rota to share the house’s tasks out between everybody. His positive attitude has been welcomed by staff and other residents who are delighted to have him living there.
