RWP completes acquisition in Merseyside

Latest news

RWP is delighted to announce the successful acquisition of 22 properties in Merseyside.

The acquisition sees RWP expand further into the Merseyside area, specifically in the suburbs of Southport, Liverpool and St Helens, growing its presence in the North West as a leading specialised supported living provider for people with learning disabilities, autistic people and those with mental health conditions.

RWP previously leased the properties from Sladelake Ltd, performing landlord duties before acquiring the freehold, so there will be minimal impact on the current tenants. The support provider Lifeways and Glenelg Support will continue in their roles to support the tenants.

Les Warren, Managing Director of RWP, said: "This is a positive move for RWP; we have a significant and well-established footprint of supported living properties across England and are pleased to be expanding it further.

"As a leading provider of specialised supported living for adults with learning disabilities, autistic people and those with mental health conditions, we want to provide high-quality homes for life. This acquisition supports that aim.

"We have an active pipeline of supported living developments throughout England and want to continue driving high-quality housing in the sector, providing accessible homes where people can live happily with support. In addition to our own development programme we have acquired properties like this which we previously leased.”

Residents of the 22 homes were consulted by both Sladelake Ltd and RWP following the announcement of an intention to purchase the properties last year.
