RWP – one year on!

Latest news

RWP’s Director of Services & Quality Philomena Cunningham talks about the last 12 months’ of success for RWP

“We’re celebrating our one year anniversary since Reside Housing Association joined with Progress Housing Group and RWP was created. We’re now the largest provider of supported housing for people with a learning disability or autism in the country.

Not only are we reaching our goals to be a strong influencer in the sector and deliver high quality services to our tenants, we’re also committed to developing new schemes to meet the need for supported living accommodation.

So… what have we achieved so far?

  • We’ve welcomed 327 new tenants to RWP
  • We’ve held almost 70 meetings with existing tenants
  • We’ve visited over 1500 homes and schemes in our first 12 months
  • We’ve established specialist RWP teams in Development, Progress Connect and Property Services to ensure our tenants have the best experience
  • We’ve created a specialist Income Collection Team which has enabled a more tailored approach to supporting tenants in arrears
  • We’ve given all our colleagues access to our new learning disability awareness e-learning module
  • We’ve provided autism awareness sessions for frontline colleagues
  • We published our first tenant newsletter, Your News, in consultation with our tenants

What’s more, we’ve been shortlisted in the Best Supported Housing Landlord category in the UK Housing Awards 2022.

It doesn’t stop here - we’re working on a new engagement strategy which will support our aim to have a strong and informed voice in the supported living sector and play our part in influencing the national policy agenda. I’m really excited for the future of RWP!”
