Our new scheme in Nottingham is open!

Latest news

We officially opened Annear Place in Nottingham and look forward to welcoming new tenants to our short-stay scheme.

It was fantastic to officially open Annear Place in Nottingham last Thursday 20 October. It’s a new short-stay scheme for people with support needs, and predominantly mental health issues. Les Warren, RWP Managing Director welcomed Councillor Matt Barney, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health, along with guests from Nottinghamshire County Council, and the team from support provider, Fitzroy.

We were also joined by the team from Mercer Building Solutions who have carried out the build of the scheme to an exceptionally high standard, along with Mark Taylor from Watts and Mark Jermy from Halsall Lloyd Partnership.

After welcoming speeches from Les Warren and Councillor Barney, guests were invited to take a look around the scheme to see the flats and the communal living areas. To remind everyone why we were commemorating Andrea and Paul Annear, we played the film of our interview with their advocate Sue Sharples, former director of the Ormerod Trust, now known as OneFylde. You can watch it here

You can hear from the Fitzroy team here about why they are excited to welcome the new tenants. Watch the film here: https://youtu.be/F6_2qtmQqMc
