RWP is part of Progress Housing Group and its In-Depth Assessment (IDA) rating has been published by the Regulator of Social Housing today – and it is great news!

We’re thrilled to announce that Progress Housing Group, which RWP is part of, has maintained its G1 V1 status and the highest compliance rating, confirming its position as one of the UK's top 27% of best-performing housing providers.

Every three to four years, the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) undertakes an IDA with all housing providers. This is a rigorous process that assesses how they comply with economic and consumer standards. The main objective of the IDA is to ensure that housing providers are financially viable, properly managed and provide excellent services to their tenants.

What does the IDA process involve?

The process includes reviews of a range of key documents, observing the Board and Audit Committee meetings, and interviewing the Executive Team and the Chair of the Board and Audit Committee. The RSH determines a rating on governance of G1, G2, G3 or G4 and a financial viability rating of V1, V2, V3 or V4.
In the past couple of years many housing providers have moved to a V2 status, indicating that they have financial challenges in their long-term financial plans. Currently, only around 27% of housing associations have G1 V1 status.

Jacqui De-Rose, Group Chief Executive of Progress Housing Group, said:

"We are thrilled to have maintained our G1, V1 ratings from the Regulator of Social Housing. These are the highest standards possible, and this is great news, especially as we celebrate 30 years of Progress this year.

“I want to extend a huge thank you to all our colleagues who were involved in preparing for the assessment for their hard work and to everyone who works at Progress Housing Group for their continued commitment and dedication.

“These ratings reaffirm that we are achieving our mission to have a positive impact on people and communities by providing high-quality homes, supporting independence and creating opportunities and our vision to ensure everyone has a place to call home and the opportunity to live their best life."
